Vice Surcharge

Forging Ahead Systems company policy: a 5% Vice Surcharge applies to all services rendered to any business selling items or services of vice.

A vice is anything that is an item or service for sale that contributes to addiction, or to any liability or detriment to society. Things like tobacco products fall under this category.

The surcharge applies only to businesses selling items or services of vice.

Forging Ahead Systems matches it dollar for dollar: for every dollar of Vice Surcharge a client pays, Forging Ahead Systems puts in a matching dollar from its own earnings to the same programs.

The surcharge funds necessary infrastructure for programs serving the disenfranchised, such as FoodShield and HarborSuite.

We are not a non-profit (yet), and the 5% is not tax deductible (yet). The money goes directly to these programs.

All outside funding sources will always be transparent. Once a program has gone live, the public may at any time see what money went to which program.
